Join us for a special seasonally-themed Intro to Tarot! Lughnasadh celebrates the first harvest and prepares us for the coming transition into autumn. Tarot is a great tool to help us reflect on what we’re reaping and plan for the coming season.

In this class, you will learn the basics of Tarot to jump-start your personal Tarot practice! We will cover everything from choosing a deck to forming a relationship with your cards. You will learn the tools for speaking the language of Tarot, which will strengthen your intuition and improve your ability to make meaning from the cards you pull.

This is a safe and supportive space that will also help to de-stigmatize  and reduce any fears you may have around Tarot. In addition to what you will learn below, you will receive expert support from a professional tarot reader who has been reading the cards for eight years and is currently working on their own deck. The instructor will have decks to purchase for about $25 if you do not currently have a deck.

In this class, you will learn: 

• how Tarot works
• the basics of Tarot readings, structure, and card meanings
• how to choose a Tarot deck, as well as samples of different decks
• the difference between Tarot and oracle cards
• how to use Tarot for self-growth and divination
• two simple formats for Tarot readings (“spreads”), as well as practice using them
• using Tarot in combination with other magickal tools (like crystals)
• recommendations for resources to further your Tarot studies
• and many other resources!

About the instructor: 

Lindsay (they/them) of Radiant Unknown is a local professional tarot reader, witch, and astrologer. They have been working with Tarot for eight years and astrology for five years. They use their blend of Tarot, astrology, meditation, and magick to facilitate dialogues between querents and their inner voices. The heart of their practice is social justice, consent, inclusion, and non-judgment. Lindsay is also co-creating the forthcoming Imperfect Tarot deck.
