Two years ago, I picked up paints for the first time in years to try something called “intuitive painting,” and I found so much joy in this practice.

I never start a painting with a preconceived image of what I want to convey, although sometimes there’s a certain emotion that I’m experiencing during that time – such as “Pain-ting.” It’s always a joy and surprise to see what images emerge as I paint. Sometimes I close my eyes to choose paint colors, other times I let myself use whatever colors call to me. I use a mix of oil, acrylic, and watercolor paints, and occasionally other materials (such as rose petals in “Rose-y Cheek”) as well.

Each painting is completely unique and one-of-a-kind. I have found my intuitive painting practice to be deeply healing, and I share that practice and its results with you all. I also do custom intuitive paintings! You can send me your favorite shapes, colors, a memory, an emotion, or anything else that captures what you’d like your painting to convey. However, I only do abstract art.
