This month’s collective reading is based on the Fool card in Tarot. It features the Baby Tarot deck by Sofia Salazar, Natalie Oldham, and Leif Sherman Curtis. The spread is:
- What leap is calling to us? XIII Death
- What is the most likely outcome of us taking the leap? 9 of Pentacles
- What beings are supporting us in taking this leap? King of Pentacles
- How can we best support ourselves to take the leap? King of Wands
We’re being called right now to take some big leaps around things we find rather anxiety-inducing, such as some end-of-life planning, a career change, or leaving behind a part of our identity that no longer fits. This is part of a much longer process of something that’s been building behind the scenes. It’s something we know needs to be released, but that final unfurling of our clenched fingers can be really difficult. For example, just because your kiddo feels ready to leave behind their training wheels doesn’t mean you’re ready for them to do so.
But on the other side of this unfolding, this leap, is so much joy and freedom. There’s a sense of being much closer to the joy and fulfillment you’ve been craving, and possibly some financial or other type of material abundance too! And how perfect for the Tarot to give us a card with a bird and rider for a question about what happens after we leap.
We have plenty of support, too. The King of Pentacles is a steward of the material realm, a caretaker of lands and living beings. Their stalwart presence is patient, kind, slow, and consistent. These are the ancestors who have been working tirelessly over time to erode negative beliefs from your lineage, to help you be more free, joyful, and healed. The land itself is an ally and a support in you taking your leap. And finally, you’ve got yourself. The King of Wands knows their power and ability. This is the consummate CEO and commander, the visionary with the map of the battlefield and the intuitive understanding of where the pieces need to go. Lean into your fire, your confidence, and your ability to be Creative Director of your own life.
Remember that growth and leaps can be done with kindness and self-love. Growth is not a race. Give yourself time to unfurl and to leap at your own pace, and see what happens. At least, that’s my plan!
