| I pulled cards for us this month from the Hocus Pocus Tarot, the Seasons of the Witch: Mabon Oracle, and the Murder of Crows Tarot. Our first card is the 4 of Potions, also known as the 4 of Cups. Next is the Scarecrow (“Remember that you are not alone. Move with confidence as you are guided”), and finally we have the 3 of Pentacles reversed. The cauldron boils and roils with tension. We’re keeping something right on the edge, watching it carefully lest it boil over. With all of the intense emotions around the recent Aries supermoon and the energetic transition of the seasons, we may be feeling burnt out from all of the emotions we’ve barely managed to contain recently. Keeping our potions, and our selves, under this constant tension may be starting to backfire. It’s time to find some release valves for any intense emotions and sensations we’ve been experiencing lately. One outlet may be confiding in your spirit guides, well ancestors, or any other entities or deities that you work with; Halloween and Samhain can be particularly potent times to engage in these relationships (please be sure to do some research on doing this safely and protecting yourself; feel free to contact me if you have questions). Remember that we are part of a team that is completely interdependent with the world around us. Three of Pentacles reversed also echoes this; this is a great month to focus on internal collaboration. Our different parts, such as our inner child or inner critic, may be pulling us in different directions. Can we sit in dialogue with all of these parts? Can we use our resources to create the inner landscape that we want to live from? We are straddling the liminal space between the active play and balancing of the 2 of Pentacles and the external collaboration of the 3 of Pentacles. October is going to be a month of change and transitions for many of us, with a greater focus on our emotions, intuition, ancestors/lineage, and internal resources. How can we make greater space inside ourselves and within our communities to hold these evolutions? |
